How it does this

JPEG uses BFFT's structural image method and measures a 12-branch MozJPEG search. PNG uses edge-weighted palette allocation, ownership flow, selective diffusion, and palette reordering before DEFLATE. The tool judges the files it actually made, not a quality-slider guess.

The browser build tests 4:4:4 and 4:2:0. This WASM encoder cannot make 4:2:2; the fused Jpegli path remains in the native tool.
